Knox snaps every pin to the house, tracks reps while they’re clocked in, and verifies each knock against GPS, dwell time, and speed. Managers see the real work. Reps get credit for the real work.

The problem
A pin dropped from the truck looks exactly like a pin dropped at the door. That’s how a territory gets “finished” with no leads in it.
Free-floating pins land on lawns, neighbors, and the street. The next rep has no idea which door was actually hit.
Reps mark fifteen doors in two minutes from the driver’s seat. The numbers look great until the sales don’t show up.
You assigned the neighborhood at 9. By 2 you’re texting “where are you” and getting “almost done.”
Leaderboards built on unverified knocks reward the loudest rep, not the one who actually walked the block.
Platform capabilities
Canvassing, verification, leads, and reporting in one app your reps will actually open.
Tap anywhere near a roof and the pin lands on that address. One pin per house across the whole account.
The map walks with you. Turn it off to plan the block, turn it on to work it.
Reps see rooftops, not street names. Pin color is the last result so the block reads at a glance.
Draw a neighborhood, attach the storm date, assign it. Everyone sees what’s been worked and what’s left.
Name, phone, insurance carrier, roof and siding type, appointment time. Thirty seconds, then the next door.
Every past knock, who made it, and what happened. No more re-knocking a do-not-knock.
The rep’s GPS position must be within 25 meters of the rooftop point when they log the knock.
Ten seconds inside the radius before the button unlocks. You can’t knock a door you didn’t stand at.
Moving faster than a walk at the moment of logging flags the knock as driving.
Every knock carries a badge. Managers filter to flagged knocks and see the reason: too far, moving, no dwell.
The day’s route, walking vs driving, on a timeline. Tracking runs only while clocked in.
Raw coordinates, accuracy, speed, and timestamp stored on every knock. Pull it up when a rep disputes a flag.
Canvasser, project manager, manager. PMs get the leads and still have to knock. Everyone sees the same board.
New leads go to the assigned project manager with a push and a calendar event, and land in your Google Sheet. Mark it sold, scan the signed contract, and the contact, job, and PDF go straight into JobNimbus.
Location tracking starts and stops with the shift. Reps always know when they’re being tracked.
Pitch, inspection checklist, claim walkthrough. Mark modules required and see who finished.
Terms, privacy, and location consent signed in-app before the map opens. Who, when, which device.
Everything lives in your own Supabase project. Export anything. Leave anytime with all of it.
Bar charts of knocks per rep, verified vs flagged, reset every Monday.
How many doors each rep knocks to close one job. The number that tells you who to coach.
Conversion from lead to signed contract, per rep and per territory.
Minutes walking, minutes driving, minutes still, per rep per day.
Percent of houses knocked in each neighborhood, and how many still need a revisit.
Knocks, leads, pings, agreements. Everything exports.
Verification
Knox checks four things the moment a rep taps “Log knock.” Pass all four and it’s verified. Fail one and it’s flagged with the reason. Managers see the flag, not the excuse.
Of the geocoded rooftop point for that address.
Counted from the moment the rep enters the radius.
Anything faster is a car. The knock is flagged as moving.
A bad fix doesn’t count for or against the rep. It’s marked low accuracy.
How it works
Six steps, one app, nothing re-typed.
A manager outlines the neighborhood, attaches the storm date, and assigns canvassers and a project manager.
Reps clock in, follow mode comes on, and the breadcrumb trail starts. Everyone in the office sees them on the map.
Tap the house, stand at the door, tap the result. Knox verifies and the pin changes color.
Homeowner name, phone, carrier, roof and siding type, appointment. It routes to the project manager and your sheet.
The PM runs the inspection, files the claim, and moves the lead through approval inside Knox.
Mark it sold, scan the contract, and the sale lands on the rep’s doors-per-sale and the team leaderboard.
Why we built it
Black Oak Exteriors knocks doors in Maryland and Virginia after hail and wind events. We tried the big canvassing apps and the same thing kept happening: territories marked done with nothing in them, and no way to tell who had actually walked the block. Knox is the app we built for our own reps. It assumes nothing. It checks.
How we compare
| Feature | Knox | Others |
|---|---|---|
| Pin placement | Snaps to the house, one per address | Free-floating, duplicates allowed |
| Knock verification | Distance, dwell, speed, accuracy on every knock | Trusts the tap |
| Rep tracking | Live, with walk vs drive timeline, only while clocked in | Live dot, always on or not at all |
| Audit trail | Raw GPS stored per knock | Timestamp only |
| Legal consent | Signed in-app before first use | Checkbox at signup |
| Data ownership | Your own Supabase database | Vendor database, export on request |
| Scope | Door tracking only; leads export to your sheet | CRM, estimates, invoicing bolted on |
| Pricing | Per seat, drops as you grow, all features | Tiered features, add-ons |
Industries
Knox counts doors the same way for everyone. Your industry just decides which coverage layer sits under the pins.
Bring your own neighborhood data. Draw the territory, assign it, and Knox proves which doors got knocked.
Electric utility service territories drawn under the map so reps stay inside the utility you sell for.
FCC broadband availability by address, highlighting homes with no fiber option yet.
Carrier coverage maps and cell sites, toggled per carrier, so reps knock where the competitor's signal is weak.
Pricing
Every plan has every feature. You’re only paying for seats, and the rate drops automatically when you cross a threshold.
Common questions
No. Location tracking starts when a rep taps Clock in and stops when they tap Clock out. Reps sign a location consent on first launch that says exactly that, and iOS shows the tracking indicator while it runs.
It still saves. It shows up with a flag and a reason: too far, moving, no dwell, or low accuracy. Flagged knocks don’t count toward verified totals on the leaderboard, and managers can review the raw GPS on each one.
Knox snaps every tap to the nearest address within 40 meters and stores one pin per house for the whole account. If there’s no house where they tapped, nothing is placed.
No. Knox stops at the signed contract. When a rep marks a lead sold and scans the paperwork, Knox creates the contact and job in JobNimbus and attaches the PDF. Everything after that happens in JobNimbus.
In a Supabase project you own. Knox reads and writes to it; you can export it or take it with you at any time.
Yes. They get assigned leads, but their knocks count on the same leaderboard as everyone else’s. That’s on purpose.
iPhone first, Android after launch. The manager dashboard works in any browser.
You pay for active users each month. Crossing 25 or 50 active seats drops your rate automatically. Deactivate a rep and the seat is freed.
